Steve Elliot invited to speak at the
2011 Florida Governor's Hurricane Conference

Elliot has been invited to speak at the 2011 Florida Governor's
Hurricane Conference. He currently serves on the Association of
Contingency Planners (ACP) Corporate Board as the National Director
of Programs, and is also President of the Greater Tampa Bay Chapter.
Steve Elliot is the President and CEO of Elliot
Consulting, a team of trusted business advisors that help develop,
audit, and administer business continuity and disaster recovery
plans for private businesses, government agencies, and not-for-profit
associations. Elliot Consulting specializes in business continuity
planning / COOP (Continuity of Operations Planning); incident

Steve will be part of the workshop entitled
"Business Planning for Community Continuity." He will
be sharing the workshop presentation (scheduled for Wednesday,
May 19th from 10:30 to 12 Noon) with representatives from the
Small Business Development Center at the University of North Florida
and the Florida Manager of the Insurance information Institute.
In this workshop, speakers will identify community organizations
and resources in a community that can lead initiatives to assist
businesses with continuity and contingency planning. The panelists
will also provide models for building a community plan for prioritizing
essential businesses that should be targeted because of the critical
role specific industry sectors play in overall community and regional
