Elliot Consulting Services to be Featured Speaker at Hurricane Preparedness Luncheon

Event includes talk by Channel 10 meteorologist Dick Fletcher.

Tampa, FL, May 1, 2005

Steve Elliot, President of Elliot Consulting Services (ECS), today announced his participation in a luncheon and mini-trade show event being held by the Upper Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce.

Hurricanes for Lunch will take place from 10am to 2 pm, Wednesday, May 11, at Aston Gardens (12951 W. Linebaugh, Ave, Tampa).

The lunchtime presentations will include an overview by ECS called Plan, Prevent, Prevail, which will focus on how to prepare a business for a disaster in terms of business continuity, property damage, communications with employees, data backup, and much more.

Business continuity is one of the primary consultative services we offer at ECS, and we are proud to have been invited by the Chamber to anchor this event , said Steve Elliot.

Also on the agenda is an appearance by the award-winning Tampa Bay Channel 10 meteorologist Dick Fletcher, who will speak about the station's new Vortex weather forecasting system.

As part of the four-hour long mini-show, ECS and Channel 10 will be joined by Bay Area Disaster Kleenup, Storm Defense Corporation, Advanced Data Solutions, Peak 10 Communications, and the Oldsmar Fire Department

Jerry Custin, who directs Business Assistance for the Upper Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce, remarked, Everyone on the staff here at the Chamber is excited about this particular luncheon, since it is one of the first times we’ll be combining presentations with table-top exhibits , and because the information that will be shared is so timely .

Our presentation on May 11 will touch on a wide range of concerns and challenges all businesses face when dealing with both natural and man-made disasters , added Mr. Elliot. We hope that this event will be of assistance to everyone in their preparations for the upcoming hurricane season .
