Business Contingency Planning Expert Jerry B. Bock Joins
Elliot Consulting Services

LEADING INDUSTRY FIGURE FORMERLY HELD SENIOR BCP POST AT RAYMOND JAMES FINANCIAL

Tampa , FL , November 7, 2005 Elliot Consulting Services has announced a special addition to its team of disaster planning and business continuity planning consultants.

A long-standing industry veteran with over twenty-five years experience in finance and information technology, Jerry Bock brings to ECS deep hands-on knowledge of the entire spectrum of business contingency planning functions, including risk assessment, business impact analysis, disaster preparedness, business resiliency and continuity, data security and recovery, backup systems management, crisis management and disaster recovery.

Over the years, Jerry has held a series of critical senior positions at several multi-national corporations, including General Dynamics, Bank of America, Chase Manhattan, Equifax, Electronic Data Systems, and, most recently, Raymond James Financial.

Mr. Bock is currently President of the Greater Tampa Bay Chapter of the Association of Contingency Planners, and Corporate Education Director for the National Association of Contingency Planners. In addition, he is BCP Business Technical Advisor for the Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council’s BCP Steering Committee.

Jerry is well-known in the Tampa Bay area as a major contributor to disaster preparedness and business continuity efforts within both Pinellas and Hillsborough counties, and co-authored the Florida Business Disaster Survival Kit, published in 2004 by the Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council, the Business Continuity Planning Alliance, and State of Florida Division of Emergency Management.

Steve Elliot will be attending the International Code Council’s Hurricane Symposium, to be held February 11-13, 2005, in Tampa. This seminar will focus on the lessons learned from the 2004 hurricane season, and propose sweeping changes to building construction codes.

Jerry holds a Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) certificate from the Disaster Recovery Institute International, Inc., as well a business degree from Indiana University.
